Three Phase Series Inverter
Circuit Diagram of Three Phase Series Inverter :
- A three phase series inverter can be obtained by connecting three separate single phase inverters together as shown in Figure A.
- If capacitors C1 and C2are large enough then each phase will function as an independent series inverter.
- The values of the L, C and R components connected in series with each SCR are selected in such a way that the current response is underdamped.
- The sequence in which the six SCRs are triggered is S1, S6, S2, S4, S3and S5. The frequency of triggering gate waveform is 6 times the output frequency. If the output frequency is 50 Hz then the frequency of the triggering waveforms is 300 Hz.
