Proposed 400 - 765 kV Additional CKT in Eastern Maharashtra

V PROJECT

765 kV corridor is to be established with substations at Koradi and Akola with 1260 km of two single circuits of 765 kV lines between Tiroda to Nagpur and Aurangabad by 2012-13 for evacuation of power from Koradi and Adanl generation projects. The corridor will terminate in power grid’s 765 kV substation at Aurangabad.

Brief details of works :

  • Establishment of 765 KV Pooling S/S at Koradi and Akola with 7 X 500 MVA, 765/400 kV single phase transformers.
  • Construction of 400 kV loop lines at Koradi and Akola substations to interconnect with 765 KV station. Construction of 2 x 765 KV single circuit lines between :
  1. Tiroda-Nagpur (Koradi)
  2. Koradi and Akola
  3. Akola and Aurangabad
