Uses of Tool Multimeter
Q. Describe the use of following tool : Multimeter.
- This meter is basically a P.M.M.C. instrument. The coil winding of the movement is very small.
- A shunt resistance is used for the protection and range extension.
- It can be used to measure current, voltage, resistance, etc., and hence it is also called as AVO meter.
- It has multi-ranges. The working energy is supplied by a dry cell. It is a very handy and useful meter used for multi-purpose and hence the name multi-meter.
- This ineter is a must in laboratories, electric work-shops test-shops, radio-T.V. repair shops and everywhere.
