Testing of Circuit Breakers
- It is an automatic switching and current interrupting device for opening and closing a current carrying circuit under full load, over load, fault condition and short circuit condition
- It is a on load making-breaking device.
- Each of the circuit breaker has rated breaking current and rated making current and short time short-circuit current
- C.B can be operated on command of operator in normal condition for routine conditions
- C.B. operates automatically under abnormal conditions-fault against command from protective relays.
- The different tests to be performed on circuit breaker are tabulated in Table.
